PepperShop with Datatrans
The connection to the payment service provider Datatrans is already integrated in PepperShop and is free of charge.
These instructions explain how to set up and handle e-payment payments that are recorded and processed by Datatrans. Datatrans is one of the most attractive and easy-to-use payment terminals in e-commerce. You can also choose from many payment methods.
Configuration
To be able to use Datatrans with the PepperShop, you must have a valid e-commerce Starter or Professional subscription contract with Datatrans. Once you have concluded the contracts, you will receive access to the Datatrans backend, which is required for configuration.
Module configuration
The Datatrans module is already prepared and only needs to be activated under “Modules -> Module management”.
Now switch to the Datatrans module. Various settings can be made here. First, however, you must enter your merchant ID and password here. This information can be found in the Datatrans backend, where exactly is described in the nex
Light-Box Theme
The display of the light box can be configured in these settings. It can also be configured directly in the Datatrans backend.
Access data Datatrans backend
Now go to your Datatrans backend under UPP Administration -> Security. The “Username” (merchant ID) and password are displayed here.
Make a note of these two pieces of information and enter them in the PepperShop module.
If you only want to reserve the payments, you can tick the box here. The payments must then be released manually in the backend.
PepperShop settings
We will now configure the basic settings in the PepperShop. To do this, you need to switch to the shop administration and go to Settings → General → Payment methods.
Select Handling correctly here.
The selected payment methods are now handled via Datatrans.
Delivery countries / Shipping
In the last step, you must ensure that the credit card is activated as a payment method in the shop administration.
To do this, go to Settings -> Delivery countries / Shipping -> edit the desired country group. Under “Accepted payment methods”, a tick must be placed next to Credit card.
