Alternative Delivery Address
Introduction
In PepperShop, your customers can enter a different delivery address in addition to the billing address. For both options to be available to the customer, this must first be activated in the administration.

Edit Customer Attributes
In the shop administration, we switch to System Settings → Customer Attributes. Here we see various fields and three columns: use, check and in delivery address.
If a checkmark is activated in the following columns, the following happens:
- use - the field is displayed in the address form
- check - the field is displayed and must be filled in (*Field)
- in delivery address - as soon as a checkmark is set here, the field is used for the alternative delivery address

Individual Customer Attributes
You can also add your own fields, for which several additional fields are available. Let’s assume, for example, that the customer can enter a desired delivery date. So we choose “desired delivery date” as the designation.
- use - the field should be displayed
- Check - the field is not mandatory here
- Save - we do not save this data with the customer (this would not make sense for a delivery address)
- in delivery address - this is not necessary here either

You can also generate a preselection for the customer using the dropdown menu. Let’s take the example “How did you become aware of us”. This field should now be used, checked and saved with the customer. So that the customer can only select certain values, we can define these in the dropdown menu. We separate these values using semicolon “;".

Customer Side
As soon as the customer has placed an article in the shopping cart and proceeds to checkout, they must enter the address information. As soon as we have saved at least 1 field with “in delivery address”, the option to enter a delivery address now appears a bit further down. Multiple addresses can also be recorded per customer.

Our self-created additional fields look as follows:

The customer also has the option to create an alternative delivery address in advance directly in their account. Under the customer address data, they now find the option to enter and manage a delivery address.
