EPSON Customer Display DM-D70
Introduction
With PepperShop V11, you have the option to display your own images and graphics on the EPSON Customer Display DM-D70. Whether in an inactive state, during shopping, or immediately after the purchase conclusion: you decide which display appears when. Additionally, you can freely adjust the font and background color, for example, to match your corporate colors.
In this guide, we explain how to connect the customer display to PepperShop and configure it individually.

Basic configuration of the customer display
Required for the start
- PepperShop Version 11 or newer
- EPSON Customer Display DM-D70
- EPSON Receipt Printer TM-M30III-H
- Via the EPSON Receipt Printer TM-M30, PepperShop controls all connected devices such as scanner, cash drawer, and customer display.
Step 1: Configure receipt printer
If you have not yet configured your EPSON Receipt Printer TM-M30III-H, you can follow this guide.
Step 2: Connect customer display
- Open the cover on the back of the receipt printer.
- Connect the cable of the customer display to one of the two USB ports of the receipt printer.
Step 3: Configure customer display
- Go to the PepperShop Administration.
- Click in the menu on the left on “Web cash register” > “Web cash register configuration”.
- Scroll to the area “Cash desk administration”.
- Locate the terminal of the receipt printer to which your customer display is connected.
- In the column “Display” select “DM-D70 Advanced Mode” from the dropdown.
- Save your settings at the bottom.
Now your customer display is successfully connected to PepperShop. The standard displays are used. If you wish to customize these, read the next chapter.
Advanced configuration of the customer display
Where: “Web cash register” > “Web cash register configuration” > “DM-D70 Advanced Configuration”
Here you can configure the displays of the customer display individually. We introduce you to the various setting options. If you make changes, do not forget to save the settings at the bottom before leaving the page.
General information
- Behavior:
- Maximum duration of the final display (in seconds): Determine how many seconds the completion display should be shown before the display switches to the inactive display.
- Colors: Here you can determine the color of the text and the background. Click in the field and either select a color from the preview with the mouse or enter your own hex color code.
Display states

- Inactive/Welcome: This display is active when you are logged into the cash register and as long as no sales are taking place. You can choose from the following display modes:
- Image (full screen): Upload an image that is displayed on the entire screen. Recommended image size: 480 x 800 px.
- Text (full screen): The display reads “Welcome”. The color of the font and the background can be defined under “General information” > “Colors”.
- QR code (full screen): Enter a URL and a QR code will be automatically generated and shown on the display.
- Divided horizontally: The text “Welcome” appears at the top and for the lower half you can upload an image. Recommended image size: 240 x 800 px

- Cash register: This display is active as soon as you place an item in the shopping cart. All products incl. price and total are displayed. You can choose from the following display modes:
- Text (full screen): Product names incl. price and total appear on the display. The color of the font and the background can be defined under “General information” > “Colors”.
- Divided horizontally: Product names incl. price and total appear at the top and for the lower half you can upload an image. Recommended image size: 240 x 800 px

- Conclusion/Thanks: This display is activated as soon as a sale has been completed. The display lasts as long as specified in “General information” > “Behavior” > “Maximum duration of the final display (in seconds)". You can choose from the following display modes:
- Image (full screen): Upload an image that is displayed on the entire screen. Recommended image size: 480 x 800 px.
- Text (full screen): The display reads “Thank you very much”. The color of the font and the background can be defined under “General information” > “Colors”.
- QR code (full screen): Enter a URL and a QR code will be automatically generated and shown on the display.
- Divided horizontally: The text “Thank you very much” appears at the top and for the lower half you can upload an image. Recommended image size: 240 x 800 px.
